Meet BrandyeBrandye Phillips is the author of five books in the areas of children's safety and inspirational poetry. She earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Columbia College-Chicago. She graduated with honors. She also earned a master's degree in Communications from Governors State University. Brandye speaks several languages. Moreover, with an ongoing desire to learn, Brandye also has earned credits toward a doctorate degree in Business Administration at Columbia Southern University. Brandye is the daughter of internationally renowned Caribbean Soul singer and songwriter West Phillips. His hit songs include: I'm Just a Sucker for a Pretty Face, Tell Me, Organized Desire, and Comfort Zone. Following in her father's footsteps, Brandye is also a singer and performer. She does puppet shows for kids at schools and libraries. She also performs a tribute to Tina Turner at corporate events, upon request. Brandye's background in Journalism has given her many opportunities in television and radio. She enjoys writing, teaching, and community organizing. |
